BioSoil Activator
Molectra® BioSoil Activator is a high quality blend of rubber crumb, bio-char and fertilizers. When mixed with soil or potting mix in gardens and pots, or incorporated under lawn and turf, this product has numerous environmental and practical benefits. In today’s day and age with water restrictions, the BioSoil Activator has great benefits. The rubber particles create channels to assist water penetration and encourage to development of deep-seated roots. The bio-char assists to rebuild the fertility of the soil and the added fertilizers make this product a complete package. It has a long life cycle and doesn’t harm the plants or the microbes in the soil. This product is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
A one kilogram bag of Molectra® BioSoil Activator is sufficient to mix with a twenty kilogram bag of potting mix. Ensure even distribution and mixing of products for best results.
Some of the many benefits of this product include:
• Aerates soil • Prevents soil compaction and improves drainage • Assists water penetration • Retains fertilizers, minerals and organic matter that assists microbes to create humus • Inactivates and makes heavy metal non-toxic • Reacts with carbonates to draw in CO2 from air and methane from decomposing organics • Controls salinity • Breaks up heavy soil • Minimises root-rot • Assists in the development of stronger and healthier root systems • Increases the capacity of the plant to absorb water, minerals & nutrients.

Carbon
Carbon is the building block of the universe and therefore has a multitude of possible applications. The carbon produced from the Molectra® process is of a high quality (97.3% pure) and comes in various forms. It can be crushed into very fine powder and processed into Carbon Black, or it can be activated to produce Activated Carbon.
The Carbon Black can be further value-added to make products with greater market demand. Carbon Black and Activated Carbon are just two of the value-added products available from this commodity.

Oil (Hydrocarbon)
The Hydrocarbon produced from the Molectra® process is of high quality. The lightest (gaseous) hydrocarbons and the heaviest hydrocarbon fractions extracted from the Molectra® process can be used to power the entire process while the remaining hydrocarbon is broken down into several fractions (see value-added products list below).
As a raw fuel (before it is separated into each fraction), Molectra’s® Hydrocarbon has a gross wet calorific value of 42.5 MJ/kg. In this form it is suitable for electricity generation due to its high aromatic content and it is a valuable raw material for a variety of chemical industries.
Due to its high boiling point, the oil may be suitable as a feedstock for the production of petroleum coke. The absence of vanadium etc, which is usually associated with petroleum coke, could make this coke an attractive commodity.
Since the oil is predominantly isoprene units, it may also be suitable cracker feedstock for the production of ethylene and propylene.

Steel
There are two types of steel recovered by the Molectra® process. The first is from the double bead wires in the rims of the tyres. This is high tensile steel and can be cut into small pellets, which are suitable for sandblasting shots. The second type is from the reinforcing wires within the casing of the tyre. This steel is recovered free from rubber and in relatively long strands as opposed to shredding and grinding processes that cut the metal into tiny splinters that are very difficult to separate from the rubber.

Plastic Fibres
The fibre recovered by the Molectra® process comprises of a combination of various plastics including nylon, rayon and polyester. This is an excellent material to use in the manufacture of construction products including panels, blocks, slabs and fencing. It has great potential to be an alternative to timber and chipboard in housing construction, as well as a number of other applications like highway sound barriers.
Additionally, this raw fibrous material can be incorporated into cement as a reinforcing material. This makes the finished concrete product (eg: fencing panels, columns and capping) significantly lighter than those reinforced with steel while still providing the necessary structural strength. Another benefit is that it eliminates “concrete cancer” by emilinating the need for steel that can rust over time.

Carbon Black
Molectra’s® Carbon Black is produced from a high quality carbon concentrate (97.3%). It is sized to between 0.03 to 0.1 microns. This Carbon Black is suitable to be marketed to various industries for a wide range of applications including manufacture of new vehicle tyres, plastics, paints, inks and batteries to name just a few.
Additionally, this Carbon Black can be value-added on site to create products with even greater market value. One of these secondary value-added products is carbon blocks (also known as casting carbon) which are used for the casting of metal components.
There are a handful of companies around the world that produce carbon black. The most common method is by a burning process using oil and gas. Since Molectra's® Carbon Black is derived from a waste source, it can enter the market at a very competitive price due to the lower costs of production. Also, Molectra's® Carbon Black is significantly cleaner than competing carbon blacks derived from other tyre recycling technologies (eg: pyrolysis).
Research has shown that the demand for carbon black is increasing by an average of 7% annually on a worldwide basis.

Activated Carbon
Molectra's® Activated Carbon is produced from a high quality carbon concentrate (97.3%). It can be made into granules or pellets depending on customer requirements. This product is suitable to be marketed to various industries that have applications for activated carbon including industrial waste water treatment, odour control and air filtration.
The market for Molectra's® Activated Carbon is predominantly industrial. This market would include the mining industry, manufacturing industry, chemical industry, automotive industry and health & safety industry.
There are many companies globally that produce activated carbon. Activated carbon is produced from various raw materials including wood, coconut shell and coal. These products are relatively expensive since they are produced from virgin materials as opposed to Molectra’s® Activated Carbon, which is derived from a waste source. As a result, Molectra’s® Activated Carbon can enter the market at a very competitive price.

Limonene (C10H16)
Limonene is an organic solvent. It is a very versatile chemical that can be used in a wide variety of applications. It is extremely safe to use and more effective that typical cleaning solutions. Undiluted, Limonene can replace many traditional solvents including mineral spirits, acetone, toluene, methyl ethyl ketone and chlorinated organic solvents. It can also be used as a fragrance, de-greaser and insecticide (eg: fire ants and termites).
The market for Molectra's ® Limonene is commercial and industrial. This market is almost limitless with applications ranging from automotive and electronics, to cosmetics, medical and pharmaceutical. There is also extensive research and experimentation being undertaken to discover other uses for this versatile solvent.
There are several companies around the world that produce Limonene. Traditionally it is produced from the essential oils found in citrus peel and is suitable for both industrial and food-grade applications. Since Molectra’s® Limonene is derived from a waste source, it would be ideal to use in applications not involving food. Even with this restriction, there are still so many possibilities for this product that there is room for several competing products.
